Grassroots for Good staff travelled to the UAE to visit the Expo 2020 in Dubai to learn about future cities, technology and how the grassroots community football can play its' role in a more sustainable future, both on and off the pitch.
International coordinator, Brian Akintokun, made the following statement on the visit "It was a great experience visiting the Expo 2020 in Dubai, as we learn about how improve conditions for grassroots sporting infrastructure and social impact all over the world."
"This is an exciting time for football in the region with the Arab games taking place shortly in build up to the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, which will see the biggest sporting event in the world happen for the first time in the area and at a different time of year! - which proves things can be done differently! - And us at grassroots level want to play our part in a healthier and more inclusive future both on and off the pitch"
The Grassroots for Good team want to connect with the growing list of international partners on how grassroots community football can grow all over the world and provide more opportunities to more people from various backgrounds and cultures.
This will help to provide wider social and environmental impact to various grassroots communities using the power of football as a catalyst for this change. (see below)
