Netflix popular series drama 'Top Boy' have been unveiled as the new kit sponsors for Hackney Wick FC home and away kits for their 2022/23 campaign.
The Hackney-based series creators Netflix have partnered with the 'grassroots football revolution' to support the work which has been done in the wider community, both on and off the pitch.
The new kits which will be available via Kitlocker, has been designed by London-based designer Labrum and features important inclusive messaging on the sleeves, including that of support Grassroots for Good.
The launch featured actors from the hard-hitting series and local players from Hackney Wick FC youth teams and Grassroots for Good projects across London.
Kit are on sale now, where sales of the merchandise goes towards supporting the grassroots community club and the work Grassroots for Good deliver - both on and off the pitch.
Hackney Wick FC founder, Bobby Kasanga commented on the new partnership, "We're delighted to team up with Netflix to support our 2022/23 campaign, as well as draw attention to some of our important community-based work in Hackney which helps to address some of the themes seen in the show Top Boy - as we use football to help steer young people away from gangs and crime."
Grassroots for Good international coordinator, Brian Akintokun also paid tribute to the launch "It's great to see a massive partner like Netflix support important grassroots organisations to deliver vital work on the ground, and help highlight how the power of grassroots community sport can help inspire, connect and bring people from all different backgrounds together."
